The Fairmont San Juan Hotel is located on the beachfront of Isla Verde since 1958. The hotel underwent renovations in 2018 and offers a luxury stay for guests with reduced mobility who want to discover the capital of Puerto Rico.
The property was designed by architect Morris Lapidus. At present, the accessible hotel has a contemporary style which is combined with the preserved historical elements of the era.
It has five restaurants that offer different dining experiences. Guests can eat by the sea and by the pool, try a variety of Puerto Rican flavors and grilled meat. In addition, it has eight theme bars. Guests can listen to live music at the Chico Cabaret, enjoy a glass of wine at the elegant Wine Bar and sip on exquisite cocktails at The Rum Bar, Art of the Cocktail.
There is a gym for gym training during the vacation, a spa offering indulgent treatments and an outdoor accessible pool with hydraulic lift platform. It also houses several conference rooms for holding events and meetings.
Accessible Room
The hotel offers accessible villas and rooms for wheelchair users. The Fairmont King, Fairmont Queen and Deluxe View King category rooms are 41 square meters. These guest rooms are furnished with a living room and are equipped with a minibar, LCD television, coffee maker, safe, iron and ironing board, telephone and free Internet access.
Pool Villa King and Pool Villa Queen accommodations are 45 square meters. Furnished as the other rooms, these also include a dressing room, desk, patio or balcony.
Oceanfront Villa Queen is the largest type of accommodation, with a space of approximately 50 to 60 square meters. These are housed in a separate building and have a terrace with access to the garden with a pool.
Depending on the type of accomodation, accessible bathrooms may have a walk-in shower with a seat and / or a bathtub. Both options have grab bars. All bathrooms are furnished with a hairdryer and free toiletries.
